On-Campus Living, Designed for Students
Prairie Pointe Apartments
Owned by Black Hawk College East Foundation and operated by Bluffstone, LLC, Prairie Pointe Apartments provide convenient, on-campus housing for full-time students. Students may lease an apartment if they are enrolled for 12 or more semester hours during the fall and spring semesters. Summer tenancy is available by request. Verification of enrollment at Black Hawk College is required.
Amenities, Features, and Facilities
Apartments
Prairie Pointe Apartments accommodate two or four students and include a full kitchen with sink, stove, and full-size refrigerator; a fully furnished living room; bathroom with shower; and ample closet space. Apartments also include air conditioning, utilities, wireless internet service, and satellite television.
Four-student apartments feature two bedrooms with beds that may be bunked or non-bunked, with a vanity in each bedroom. Two-student apartments offer private bedrooms for each resident.
Laundry
Laundry facilities, vending machines, mail services, and the property manager’s office are located in the adjacent service building. On-campus food service is available Monday through Friday (lunch only), along with vending machines.
Recreation
Residents have access to the campus Fitness Center, library, and computer lab, as well as campus activities throughout the year.
Security and Safety
Apartments and parking areas are well-lit. Black Hawk College Police officers are on duty or on call 24/7. Apartments are equipped with sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors.
Parking
Resident parking is available immediately adjacent to the apartments.
Rental Information and How to Apply
Leasing and Payments
Multiple lease arrangements and payment plans are available. Rental rates include gas, electric, water, sewer, trash removal, satellite television, and wireless internet service. Telephone service is not included. A limited number of diesel truck hook-ups are available for an additional fee on a first-come, first-served basis. A security deposit is required.
