Serving Students & BHC East Campus
About Us
The Black Hawk College East Foundation enhances the mission of the East Campus by securing resources that empower student success and foster program growth. By partnering with donors, alumni, businesses, and community leaders, the Foundation provides scholarships, supports program development, improves facilities, and advances initiatives that enrich the educational experience at East Campus.
Whether assisting students through scholarships, helping donors achieve their philanthropic goals, or investing in innovative learning opportunities, the Foundation is dedicated to advancing education and expanding opportunities throughout the region.
The impact of the Black Hawk College East Foundation is evident across campus and in students' lives. In the 2024–2025 academic year, the Foundation awarded over $110,000 in scholarships to 100 East Campus students through thirteen distinct funds, removing financial barriers and increasing access to education.
The Foundation owns and operates an apartment complex adjacent to campus, providing housing for up to 83 students. This supportive living environment enables students to focus on their academic and career goals.
Additionally, the Foundation maintains approximately 65 acres of land near East Campus, with 50 acres serving as a living agronomy lab. Here, students test soil, manage crops, and present research, gaining hands-on experience that strengthens East Campus's agricultural programs.
For the 2024-25 academic year, we awarded more than $135,000 in scholarships to students.
ABCA alumni help continue the legacy of East Campus by supporting students through mentorship, advocacy, and financial support—strengthening opportunities and helping the next generation turn their education into meaningful careers in agriculture.
The Foundation strengthens the college's connection to its communities through events and initiatives that celebrate achievement and honor the generosity of supporters.
Programs such as the Annual Scholarship Banquet, which honors benefactors and celebrates student recipients, and the Wall of Fame recognition reception, highlighting those who have made lasting contributions to the college and community, bring together alumni, donors, faculty, and students in support of the East Campus mission.
