Guided by her experiences at Black Hawk College East Campus, Tami Rouse has built a career and life centered on empowering others. Her journey from student leader to workforce advocate is a testament to the enduring impact of education, service, and commitment to community.
Tami is a graduate of Tonica High School whose journey in agriculture and community leadership took root at Black Hawk College East Campus. While studying Horse Science, she was actively involved in the agribusiness club and horse judging team—experiences that shaped her lifelong dedication to education, leadership, and service.
After continuing her studies at Western Illinois University, Tami carried the values she developed at BHC East into a successful career. In 2001, she returned to her agricultural roots, and by 2013, she found her true calling in workforce development. Today, as office manager and career planner at CareerLink, Tami helps students of all ages discover opportunities, set goals, and build brighter futures.
Tami’s influence extends far beyond her professional career. She has devoted countless hours to community service and leadership, including serving as President of the Wyoming Chamber of Commerce and working with organizations such as the Stark County Fair Board, Stark County for Continuous Improvement, the University of Illinois Extension Council, and the ABCA as Fundraising Chair. As a 4-H leader with Stark County Century Clover, she has helped guide the next generation to grow in confidence and leadership.
From her early days at Black Hawk College East Campus to her ongoing commitment to service, Tami Rouse exemplifies the spirit of giving back—using education, experience, and heart to make a lasting difference where it matters most.
